Has anyone added a window to their r-pod (after market)?  Is it something that can be done by any travel trailer dealer?

thanks

We had our dealer put a window in the door of our 172. It really adds a lot of light to the Pod.

A number of people on this website ordered a circular window and installed it themselves in their pod’s door; you may be able to find something on this in the mods section. I took my pod to and RV dealer and had a rectangle window installed in my pod’s door and I like it a lot. You can either get smoked glass or clear glass, but with clear glass you might want to put a curtain or blinds up to that window; regardless, having a window in the door lets a lot more light into the pod.

Larry,

Your rectangular window looks really nice. What was the approximate cost?

Thank you

My husband put a porthole window in my door. We got the window from ebay and it was something like $59.00 or close to it. i really love it. It's smoked glass and nobody can see in.

Marc515, I took mine to and RV dealer service department and they had pre-cut glass in various shapes, square, rectangle, etc. The entire thing, parts and labor, cost approximately $140, and that was only because labor was $75. I live in Northern California so prices may vary depending on where you live and the dealership where you have the work done. I had mine done by a dealer because they had a 12-month warranty on their work, parts, etc. and your Forrest River Warranty or Extended R-Pod warranty will not cover the after market window, or any other after market additions. I also paid to have a dealer put axle risers on my pod for the same reason; I’m not that much of a craftsman, although I did do a lot of other after market mods to my pod on my own.

Larry,

Thanks for the follow up information. I am going to look into this as it's a nice Mod for under $200.
