Hi, we are totally new to rv'ing and trailers! We've ordered a 177, due to pick up at Couch's at the end of April. We've already read so much on this site (so loaded with info!) and we're really excited to get our 'dogipod' - for our three mini dachshunds, of course.
We know we've got a lot to learn, so we're thrilled that there is such a great resource here. Look forward to chatting with you all! ![]() |

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your 177. I may have seen your 177 being built during our plant tour last week. There were several 177's going down the line. I'm sure you will really enjoy it and Couch's will do a good job on their orientation.

Welcome & Congrats with the 177.
Cindy is right, we luv ours !
If your getting yours at Couch's, as we did, then you should be good to go with the Tow Vehicle, and they'll be sure your on your way with what you need. (they have a "starter" kit for around $100 if you need it).
But please pay attention to detail when you can, this will help the process go smoothly.
If possible, camp at a nearby RV park near Couch's (we stayed at Hueston) for at least a night and test all the systems. That way you'll be close to Couch's should something go amiss. Hopefully not !
Keep us informed !!!

Thanks, we're trying to think of the things we're going to need for the trip home. It'll be our first time towing and trailering so the starter kit should be helpful for us. We were thinking of staying at Hueston Woods since we have read here that it is nice and convenient.. the pull through is really going to be helpful that first night.
We've got a hitch receiver for our tow vehicle (rav4) but we still need to get a hitch ball and mount, get insurance, etc. We're trying to read as much as we can here so we know what to look out for on our "maiden voyage".. |

dogipod - If you want to be using the Pod's electric brakes on your trip home, you need to get a brake controller installed on your car before you go. Brannon at Couch's told me they don't install them.
We're staying at Hueston Woods, too, for our first night. However, we haven't gotten the call that our Po is ready to pick up. It was supposed to be mid-April so we're still waiting.

Not to worry. Ours came just in time. We expressed the limitations we had with the trip window and they were very helpful with making it happen.
I know the anticipation got the best of us, but it was very exciting walking up to it in the large garage area with the r-Dome attached !! It was a beautiful thing......

Ratdog, we checked with Brannon, he is expecting several shipments this week so I would imagine yours should be ready any day now (we were slated for mid-end of April)!!
We will be driving out next Thurs for Friday pickup. Forgot to mention we did get a Tekonsha P3 brake controller installed. It'll be interesting to actually test it out. |

At least you have a pickup date. When did you place your order? We placed our order on March 22nd and were told mid-April for delivery.
Take care,
