Not to start a p*ssing contest, but is there anyone that participates on R-Pod Nation that DOES NOT also participate on R-Pod Owners Forum?  I'm only curious because it seems that just about every question or post gets published on both boards.  I find it hard to believe that there are many, if any, that are not aware of both sites.

Just curious and yes, I posted this same question on the other forum.  Wink

I can't be bothered with both so I just visit here. I am aware that the other forum exists but I joined this one first and never had a reason to go to the other one. As you have noted just about everything gets posted on both forums

I belong to and visit both sites     ...but if I do a mod or have pics to upload I generally don't take the time to duplicate the posting/uploading process.

I browse both, but only post on this one.

I browse both and answer questions or respond to posts on this one but I only start threads on the owners forum. Only because I found the owners first and did not want to post twice.

Double viewer and poster.  Still in my first year, so eating up all the tips I can.  Both are great.  I do like Techntrek's checklists and details on the other site.

Eier way you can't go wrong.  Good people in both.

Thank you all for the great info to make podding a great experience.

I check both. I created a user ID here (and subsequently only post on this one) b/c when I quit lurking I wanted to post about my mods. I figured they might be something Forest River might be interested in when updating/adding floor plans.

I love the checklists the other forum has, and I like the direct input to FR this one has. I think there is room/need for both. Even if some info. gets repeated, there is enough new material on each site to make it worthwhile to check into both.

My 2 cents. YMMV

I visit both, but typically only post here. I really can't be bothered posting twice to an almost identical forum.

I'm a newbie and lurk on both. We get our new 177 next week (Dec 12) and at age 71 I finally have something to get excited about. BUT this forum has CC. Very talented folks willing to share their mods in first class fashion: pics and even dimensions. I wish they lived down the road from us.
I enjoy posts on both R-Pod forums as well as other rv forums that I have come across.
Please keep up the good friendships.
Thank you

Thanks gnawbone, I'm glad you found it helpful. I've posted again on my mod thread to link to another discussion of what the walls are made of and how thick the materials are. Anyone looking to screw/nail into the walls should find that info. helpful. If you lived down the road from us, we'd surely love to visit with you! Glad you have found renewed enthusiasm with your rPod. Smile

I only knew about this forum but the other one was referenced in a post so I did check it out a couple of times.  I tend just to read new posts in this forum and rarely go to the other one.

It is my opinion that both message boards have become rather dry lately. They are still the best places to get how-to information. And the good thing about the message boards is that the information stays there forever. You can always search for a specific problem and solution.

But the real fun these days is on the Facebook group.
https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/56931970807/ - https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/56931970807/

Right now people are posting pictures of their pods all lit up for Christmas and talking about a ceramic pod like trailer being sold at Lowes. Same people but a much lighter mood prevails over there.

Peegy L...

'tis normal for the camping community forums to slow down "out of season".. I am also on a very active wood stove forum, same thing happens in the summer there. So I switch back and forth with the seasons..lol

I didn't mean "dry" as in inactive. I meant "dry" as in reading a textbook rather than a racy novel. All the posts seem to be about things like winterizing, tire pressure and brake controllers.

Hey! I'm a girl. I want to see pictures of curtains people put up and talk about trips that were taken and planned. I like the stuff that's going on in the Facebook group right now. Lots of banter.

Especially if you are towing a pod. A lot better gas mileage.

Well then.. are you participating in the "distributed group camp out" next weekend??

As the un-leader, I feel it's important to know if we can count on you to not be there...

As I explained to you on Facebook, we cannot not be there. Our pod is sparkling clean on the inside, because if we can get out of the driveway after the first of the year we will. I really don't want to have to do all that cleaning again just to not go camping with the rest of you.

Isn't it great that we're all so alike and yet all so different?  I love diversity!  I joined one of those women rv sites (I think it was Women RVers) and although every once in a while they discussed more "technical" RV type things, they did lots of "womenspeak".  I thought I'd enjoy that but found that I never felt inclined to go to the site after the first few times.   I'll have to check out the Facebook site.  Seems to me that the last time I tried, the link was broken and I couldn't find it via Facebook.  Will try again.

I like this one better. By the way, I am trying to figure out how to intall a nice awning if anybody has an idea. I rigged up a tarp connected to the keder rail and supported by poles but I would like something easier to put up..
