OK, we took 199, will be there Thursday afternoon. We are from KY, so we can bring (legally) some fire wood. As mild as this winter has been we will have plenty left over from this years heating fuel.

Ok we are in!!! Big smile  I have reserved site 166.  That is where we were last year and I know it has some shade.  Rick and I have had a difficult winter and need to see some friendly Podder's faces.  Come on Podders.  Let's make this as good as last year.  We all know how nice the Horse Park is.  Loop C is a great place to camp.  Thanks Tink for getting this started. It does not have to be super organized.  We had a great time at Maumee and did not organize anything.  Let's all pray for some fairly cool weather.  Btw, Coach says he will organize a Corn Hole tourney!!!!!

Corn hole is so much fun!!! I'm pretty sure more will sign up, Rita. They're probably just making their plans and some might decide at the last minute. We're gonna have so much fun. Friday potluck sounds good to me. There's some neat places to eat in Georgetown, too. Maybe Sat. morning we could have a breakfast?

Unfortunately Kendra, Kaylea and I will not be able to make it this year.  We Loved the first 2, but I have been asked to judge a flyball tournament the same weekend.  We also just traded in our Rpod, but would have loved to go if we did not have other plans.

Have fun this year and remember lanterns for late night cornhole.

Rick and I are getting excited about the the rally at the Horse Park. Those of you who do not have a Pod feel free  to attend. It has always been a POD AND FRIENDS rally.
@ Tink.  Could you post a list of the people who plan to attend?  I enjoy seeing who is going to be there.

On another note:  I will never forget how excited we were, and how shocked other campers were,  when all 36 of our little Pods rolled into Fort Boonesborough State Park for the first rally.  It was a sight to see. Big smile

Favorite pics I have in our camping folder are of so many Pods side by side.  Check in was fun because Carrie and I freaked out because another Rpod pulled in right behind us at the same time.

Want to kinda do like last year and just roast some dogs on a campfire and have side dishes I assume?

Course last year there were enough side dishes that eating a hot dog was an after thought!  I was too full to play cornhole!  Needed a nap afterwards!

Just to kick off Potluck list and possible ideas.....

Carrie and I were thinking of doing a grape salad or maybe an apple salad.  They are both nice cool fresh salads.  But we're still looking through our Pinterest recipes to see what else we might do if the logistics of a cold dish fall apart.

I'm thinking scalloped potatoes.  If the weather is super hot by then I may change to potato salad.

Does anyone have a big coffee pot?  We could hang out either Sat. or Sunday mornings (or both).
I'd be willing to add some munchies for breakfast.

Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Ditto using instant coffee.  Pack one teapot to boil water, good for a variety of uses!  Also works when dry camping.  Looked at the 12v coffee makers, then the propane powered light bulb lit up so to speak.  We could bring potato chips to the Friday night gathering.  I'm guessing we will leave before anyone is up on Saturday.  if r-pod runners - walkers out there want to join us for the 5K Saturday morning in Midway, it's not all that far from the horse park.  http://www.foxlexington.com/sections/contests/5k/ - http://www.foxlexington.com/sections/contests/5k/

@wbillar, we missed you last year. So glad you are coming.
As to the breakfast, I am not sure we should try the breakfast thing again. Last year a lot of people prepared for a large crowd and we got rained out. I know that I had to bring a lot of food home with me. lol I loved the breakfast the year before. This just my "two cents". We are in on whatever you do.

#205.  Ed and Rita.         (Sylviablue)
#207   Bill and  Judy       (WBillar). Sorry Bill, I can't remember your wife's name. Please remind me.

I believe we are having a hot dog potluck on Friday?  Or would you rather on Saturday?  Doesn't matter to me. I will bring hot dog sauce. Notice I said sauce, it is Beth Mowery's recipie.

As for breakfast, maybe we could pick a place and GO one morning.  We could call ahead and see if we could be seated.

How about a Happy Hour on the other nights and bring an appetizer? Oh, and we don't have to limit it to just an hour!

And, of course, corn hole all day and night!!

Shoot, we don't any planning. We're just winging it.

Yeah, it's not like you named her. Well her first name anyway..

Course it is modern times.. maybe you didn't give her a last name either..

Maybe she is just..

Judy.

Like Madonna.

Only.. normal.

Do we have anyone keeping a pot luck list?  I didn't see one, but wanted to compare notes before I commit to bring a duplicate.

It looks like we had around 30 there last year including the two Forest River groups.
I just checked the weather. It seems that we are going to have temps in the high 70s with periods of rain. That could change because the last time I looked they were saying rain only on one day. Who knows. I would suggest that you bring your Easy Up if you have one. When we decide on a gathering place, we could put the Easy Ups in place so that we have them for our potluck night and also for gatherings at night.
Rick and I are getting excited. He will be bringing his corn hole game.
I will be bringing a dessert of some sort. Are we bringing our own hotdogs and buns? I can't remember what we did last year.

Last year we did BYO dogs and buns and then there were enough sides to feed us all for days!  Wink
I like the mention of cooler temps, I just hope that rain stays away.

And I think we're doing either the grape or apple salad stuff that I mentioned before.  Carrie seems to want to tackle that in the Pod and see how it goes.

Oh and if I don't run off and forget it we'll put the easy-up in the pod too.

Rosemary, put me down for scalloped potatoes. Have we chosen Friday or Saturday night for the potluck?  For the hotdog thing I will bake corn dog muffins.

DOOR PRIZE!!  For a nice door prize drawing we will donate the Forest River BBQ tool set we won last year.  Totally pristine, unused and very fancy..

See you soon

@Rob, please give my apologies to Trisha.
@sylviablue, I will put you on the list. Btw as the unofficial weather lady of this group, I can tell you that the weather channel is now saying no rain in the forecast.

@Tink. Are you still bringing the hot dog sauce?

Another thought:

Someone mentioned that we go to breakfast somewhere. There is a restaurant called Sam's on the Georgetown Road that I have heard is good. Never ate there. I think it is a local place where farm workers eat. Anyone know about it? There is also a Cracker Barrel in Georgetown. Also a Frischs(sp?)

Gotta thank you again for the leftover one last year, we had breakfast the next work week all week long.  None of our attempts with your recipe ever turned out as good as your's and Trishas' though! Confused

Can't wait to see everyone, we were out at Sams today buying all our food and drinks and stuff, just need to hit the local fruit market Tuesday night for some supplies!
