Hug  We just camped in Lake Griffin State Park, central Florida.  We really liked it.  Maybe because it's late in the season but it wasn't crowded at all.  We had a nice site with no near neighbors.  Elec and water, with a dump station.  Great showers and laundry facilities.  Fishing for those who fish.  The weather was beautiful.  If you have a Florida driver's license by chance and are over 65 you get a 50% discount.  There are beautiful huge old live oak trees, lots of shade and some (short) nature trails.
In the end there's just a song comes cryin up the night

Has anyone stayed at Myaaka River State Park.  I made reservations next to the lake and now I am beginning to worry about being tooo close to the water.  I never feel good about making reservations sight unseen.   Confused

Terry

LOL I am not afraid of water.  On the website, they said that they had experienced a lot of flooding in the park, and I could see myself and the Pod floating out into the lake!!!! Wacko
Thanks for all the good info everyone.  Although we have traveled extensively in Florida, we have never camped there.
