SmileThanks again marspball, I also spoke to Dometic today on the phone and the service person there had me run some diagnostic tests with the thermostat. All that it showed is that my "Lo" fan is not working and that it is either wired wrong or the fan motor is defective. His advice was to bring it to an authorize Dometic repair shop, again! So I have an appointment with Camping World next Tuesday.

I will keep you up-to-date.

Smile Just to keep you all up to date with my no "Lo" Fan on AC and Fan mode, I have brought my Rpod 177 to Campers World here in Concord, NH, and they have diagnosis it as a defective fan motor within an hour. Part ordered and I will let you all know if it corrects the problem. I suspected that the motor was the problem.

Sounds like a good fix, in a pretty short amount of time too!  Hope it fixes everything for you.

Hi everyone, need your help here.

ok, so my 2015 Rpod 182G is back at the dealership for the A/C problem. The rpod has the dometic single zone lcd thermostat with the 13,500 btu air conditioning unit.

What i would like to have is for the A/C fan to remain "on" but with the low fan setting and then the compressor kicks on/off depending on the inside temperature and the thermostat setting.

When I read the manual, this is done but first setting the Fan to "low" and then switching to the "cool" mode.

What is happening now when i set the thermostat to the above setting is that once the inside temperature reached the temperature on the thermostat, the a/c unit shuts off...fan and all. This is supposed to happen only when the fan mode is set to auto.

Dealer took a look at the unit and apparently called dometic. dealer is saying that dometic is telling them that my a/c and thermostat is behaving as it should. but when i called dometic and spoke to customer service, they said that it should behave just like what the manual says.

So i am confused now. For those who have the single zone lcd thermostat on their rpod, if you set your thermostat fan to "low" and then go to "cool" mode, does the a/c shuts off completely when the set temp is reached?

Thanks in advance.

yours sounds like the exact issues as described in this post.  if you have it on low the fan should then stay on afterwards once at temp

Hi....everyone Smile from S & J R-pod. My R-pod 177 AC-Lo fan is working finally. I picked up my r-pod from Camping World in Concord NH this week. The replacement of the fan motor in the AC unit repaired the no Lo fan operation. The fan motor was on national backorder for over three weeks, but only took a couple hours for Camping World to replace. Do to the cold weather here in NH I haven't been able to see how the AC unit cools my R-pod. We will be heading to FL hopefully in two weeks and will let you know then!

Thanks everyone for your input,
S & J R-pod

Hey S&J,

Glad to hear that your A/C issue has finally been resolved. My Rpod is still at the dealership getting the A/C issue addressed.
