There have been many discussions about the various options to do this. Try the search feature here to read them.
To sum it up; some people swear by the R Dome. Some use Paha Que's aftermarket duckbill awning. Some use a free standing canopy. Some make their own.
So, you see, it is a rather complex question with as many answers as there are Pods.
Personally, I like the dome but wouldn't put it up if only for one or two nights.
Good luck,
Jan

There has been past comments about installing a permanently mounted awning on an R-P0d, but the curvature of the roof preclude it.  Jan has mentioned the options available.

I don't think anyone looked at the photo of your Pod that you included with your question. It appears that you have the brand new model that has a flat roof! (I'm envious. I would love to trade my 151 in on this model, because of the flat roof and the spacious kitchen.) I would suggest you speak with Rodney in the Warrranty office of Forest River. He, and his supervisor Susan Thornburg, are SO helpful when it comes to questions like this. They can be reached at 574-642-3119. Rodney will actually go out onto the factory floor to ask questions, and get the answers from the experts. Good luck!
