Hope it is not too soon. I still have 4 feet of snow in my yard and I am not too far from Maine.

Maine Trip the last weekend of April was great as the kick off for the season. We were cozy in the 35 degree nights, no need for the propane heater, a small portable elect heater worked fine when we needed it.

What a great camping kickoff venue at bayley's camping resort (bayleys-camping.com)in Scarborough, ME. The campground is officially now one of our favorite places to be in Maine. We will be returning this year at the end of this season. Makes for a nice quick weekend spot within 4 hours traveling time from home. They were doing construction of new sites in the back with a new store and pool. The sites are wide, so for you podders with the hut attachment most of the sites are wide enough. In our case we could park the expedition next to the pod and still had room. We walked the entire campground and there are vastly more sites we found as good or great to those few we did not like.

For a seafood feast with a clam shack atmosphere, tables, protection from the rain and great food, Kens just 3 min down the road was recommended by the folks at Bayley's Lobster Pound and we agree. I suggest you share the shrimp, fish, clams, scallop and fries platter it was too much for just one.

No issues to report the Hobbit house was great and after a long snowy winter everything worked fine. We did decide to modify the upper bunk so it could be stowed by adding a hinge so that you could sit up in the lower bunk. as of this post the bunk has been removed for our next trip and a new bunk is in fabrication. I have been in contact with FR for some replacement wall panels and trim parts, they said they have matching material available.

P.S. Peggy were are you?
