I too bought a rhinoflex hose. Sunday I pulled it out of the storage bay and, yup, doesn't fit the factory equipped storage tube. OK, no big deal, I'll start building a caddy. As I went to put the hose back into storage, I noticed what appeared to be a small perforation in the flex line. This is a brand new, never used, one month old hose...I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I started to look again, and found not one hole, but a BUNCH of holes, and a 2" SLIT! I thought these were supposed to be so durable! Has anyone else had problems with these? I've emailed my dealer for advice, but I'm really questioning the quality of a hose that lasts 0 uses! Can you imagine if I had actually tried to use it? I would have quickly become very unpopular in the KOA! |

I know I'm digging up a dead thread here but it seemed better than starting a new one to once again say what a great mod this is!
This mod needs to be stickied!!!!!
With only two trips to Lowes today the Moosepod has her own new fancy fence post sewer hose holder.
Carrie is a little worried about the tiny bungees holding the end cap on so I'll add another one to it perhaps to make her feel more at ease.
Basically the same as everyone else's mods for this. I just ditched the extra length and took it down to the size of the hose, with a bit of wiggle room, and mounted the new holder where the previous one was installed in factory.
A few drops of blood for good luck and some "Moose" decoration shopping by the DW, and 4 tours of the POD requested by neighbors as we worked outside this weekend on her.
A great weekend for campi.......no, a great weekend spent in the driveway playing with the POD!!

I was able to modify my Rhinoflex hose and get it in a 4" perforated pvc pipe used for septic drainfields. The 4" pipe just fits behind the battery box. I had to cut the tabs off the hose on the outlet end before the elbow. And I cut slots in the pvc to accomo0date the tabs on the end that connects to the trailer. It works though. |
