All of the above.  Don't forget solar.  Members have an additional 12V, 2 -6s, a small generator (2000-35OO), USB Charging ports, digital volt guages.  If you can think of it somebody has done it.

I have an R-pod 171 with an Interstate SRM-27 deep cycle (wet) battery.  Since I primarily boondock I need advice for extending battery life.  I do not use the TV or microwave - primarily lights and fridge (on propane) but I understand fridge needs 12-volt to think.
Options I am looking at include adding another 12-volt (parallel), buy (2) 6-volt and run in series hoping improved performance compared to single 12-volt.  I would then also have a second battery.  Or should I just buy a small generator?

Also, has anyone added a USB charging port - wanting to charge iPhone.

Thanks!
