My husband is a cabinetmaker by trade and he has done numerous wonderful, handy upgrades: - Fiddle rail above the microwave where cups, mugs, glasses, and spices can be securely stowed during travel and easily accessed. We have been over some bumpy roads and nothing has ever bounced out. - A support to keep the upper cabinet door open so you can access the stuff inside without having to hold it open with one hand or your head. - We thought having to lift the cushions to access the inside storage areas in the front and rear was a pain, so my husband added huge drawers that slide fully out. - We also thought it was a shame to waste all the space under the front bunk, behind the entertainment center. There was no way to access it without taking the mattress out. To solve that, my husband added an outside hatch to create a whole new storage compartment easily accessible from the outside. He also sealed that area off from the inside, so that any bugs who might get into that compartment when its open, won't be able to get inside. - We wanted a place to store the coffee pot, a loaf of bread, etc., where it would be safe and secure while traveling, so he added a rail behind the sink and stove. The rail is easily removed and replaced, but keeps stuff secure during travel. - For extra counter space we added a hinged stove cover. - We didn't want the clunky table in the camper but we wanted to be able to use the settee as a bed, so we added a little shelf that stores up against the settee instead. The clunky table comes with the camper, but most people either remove it, or use it permanently as a bed. - We added a handy fold up/down cup holder on each side of the settee. - We wanted to be able to sleep 2 comfortably in the rear and 1 comfortably in the front bunk, but with the upper bunk there, only very tiny people would be able to sleep there, so we removed half of the top bunk and added a custom memory foam mattress. We have the removed upper bunk part, so if anyone wanted to put it back, we can easily do that. We also still have the very thin original mattress that goes up there and you can have that if you want it. - We upgraded the TV antenna to one that picks up far more stations than the original did. - We also added a paper towel holder and a bunch of hooks on either side of the door for jackets, towels, or whatever. Other items included with the R-Pod: - Sunbeam microwave/convection oven - Dometic Fridge/Freezer that runs on AC, DC, or Propane - Propane heater - The R-dome screen room - Smoke, LP gas, and carbon monoxide detectors - Fire extinguisher - Jensen 19" LCD TV - Propane hot water heater - Air Conditioner - All original owner's guides/manuals - CD/DVD radio/stereo system that is connected to the TV for playing movies - Queen size inflatable bed that you can use in the rear if you want, instead of sleeping on the cushions. - Blinds on all the windows For lots of photos, please visit: Here is a site with detailed specs for this unit:
