VIN # Information

The VIN is located on a decal on the lower front of the Pod on the left side. It is a yellow tag with other information along with the VIN   There are other tags located in the same place. 
It is also stamped into the trailer tongue on the upper left side just behind the propane bottle.

My VIN is inside the door on the bottom.

Every VIN (vehicle Identification Number) has 17 digits in it.
Digits 1,2,3  --  World Manufacturers Identifier ( WMI )
Digit 4- 8  -- Vehicle specific information
        4-- Trailer Type
        5 -- Body Style
        6,7 -- Length
        8 -- Axle configuration
Digit 9 -- Check Sum Number  I won't go into how to calculate this number.
Digit 10 -- Model Year   ( 2008-8,  2009-9,  2010-A,  2011-B )
Digit 11 -- Plant Code
Digits 12-17  Sequential Production Number

I don't have nor have I found the codes for each bit of information so you are on your own.

I punched in the vin of the 171 I am picking up tomorrow and it came up as a FR Rockport. hmmmm
