I found that the drawers under the sink were to small in our 179, so I modified them and made them deeper. Now they're usable.

I took the old drawer out and disassemble it, left the part to the drawer front attached, and built a new drawer box out of the same material as the original one was. It added about 6" more usable space in the new drawers. My wife loves it.

Where did you find the material to match the original? I haven't looked at it that closely.
